Captain Andy is a lifelong boater who grew up on Narragansett Bay in the state of Rhode Island. He has been boating his entire life and has a true passion for the water and enjoying it with others. As a young child his first boating experiences took place aboard the family sailboat, Coppacetic, sailing to various offshore island destinations and quaint harbors throughout the state. He learned to row a small dingy at the age of three on Lake George in upstate New York and perfected his skill in Wickford Harbor, the small historic fishing village where he grew up.

Andy later graduated to a multitude of sailing vessels when taking sailing lessons and competed in sailing races in his early teenage years. Much of his early boating influence came from his parents who were avid sailors and his grandfathers who loved to take Andy fishing. Captain Andy independently operated his grandfathers 15ft Boston Whaler starting at age fifteen. He captained this boat for over 15 years in Rhode Island, New Hampshire and South Carolina waters .

Shortly after moving to Charleston, SC in 2017 Andy decided to pursue his Charter Captain’s License. He wanted to show people the unique perspective of viewing Charleston and all its beautiful and historic sites on the water. In 2019, Captain Andy custom built his loaded 2019 Sportsman 232 Open Center Console building it with fishing and cruising capability in mind and versatility. His boat is equipped with nearly every option available in terms of electronics, stereo upgrades, underwater and deck lighting, and creature comforts. Captain Andy owned and operated his charter business in Charleston, SC for 4 years offering fishing and pleasure cruise charters providing unparalleled and memorable experiences for all his clients.

In 2023 Andy’s Adventure Charters officially moved to where Captain Andy’s boating and nautical journey all began, the Ocean State! Captain Andy is an incredibly experienced captain and is an expert at navigating Narragansett Bay, the Rhode Island Oceanfront, and Rhode Island offshore waters. He is U.S. Coast Guard Licensed and Insured and has decades of experience navigating Rhode Island inshore, nearshore, and offshore waters.
